What is Compassion Health?
Compassion Health is multi-day free health exposition featuring dental, psychological, allied health, lifestyle education, spiritual and other human services. The initiative is organized by students and young professionals and executed in collaboration with various medical and health professionals, non-profit and charitable entities including the Ontario Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.
Why is Compassion Health needed?
For various reasons, many have not obtained the health services they need and seek. Financial difficulties often present as a considerable barrier to access common medical and health services. The purpose of Compassion Health is to be a one-stop mega clinic that offers many health services all free of charge. No identification * or insurance coverage is required access services. Services are provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
The Seventh-day Adventist Church
The Seventh-day Adventist Church in Canada is the Canadian entity within the global Seventh-day Adventist church. It is a mainstream Protestant religion with more than 18 million members worldwide. It has more than 6,500 churches and congregations and operates approximately 1,200 educational institutions (Pre-K—graduate school), which are part of the second largest educational system in the world. Through its Adventist health networks, the church provides health care to approximately 17 million people worldwide. The Seventh-day Adventist Church is dedicated to spreading the Christian message of love and compassion throughout the diverse communities of Canada.
